Facadas del Norte participated in the EDIFICIENT project, for the development of a high energy efficiency and low cost panel for the renovation of buildings.
TITLE OF THE PROJECT: DEVELOPMENT OF A HIGH ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND LOW COST PANEL FOR THE REHABILITATION OF BUILDINGS

The EDIFICIENT project pursues the development of a new concept for the rehabilitation of building facades based on the development of a new self-supporting “all one” panel that integrates in itself all the basic components of the ventilated facade, that is: cladding , insulation and air chamber.
In addition to the design of the new panel and its materials, the technical productive means will be developed that will make manufacture and subsequent commercialization viable.
In order to validate the new product through regulatory tests, a prototype panel will be built. The estimated time of work for the rehabilitation of facades with the EDIFICIENT system will reach a value of less than 10 days, less than half of the traditional system. It is estimated that the total cost of work for the rehabilitation of a facade of the building established as a reference, would decrease by approximately 4.2%.
The EDIFICIENT project consortium will be made up of four Galician SMEs:
- FACHADAS DEL NORTE S.L, STROW SISTEMAS – Manufacturer and marketer of the panels. Direct sale to companies that are dedicated to the installation of facades for the rehabilitation of buildings. It is the project leader and will actively participate in the definition of requirements and in the design and conception of the panel, as well as in its final validation.
