The LEST PLUS horizontal profile is a subsystem of horizontal profile and individual clips capable of working in conjunction with the vertical profiles of the Epsilon “O”, Epsilon “U” or Epsilon “T PLUS 65x50”, Epsilon “T 100x45” systems. It offers the possibility of fastening large format panels by means of KEIL type undercut holes on the back side of the piece.

The LEST PLUS horizontal profile is made of aluminum alloy AW-6060/6063-T5. It is a very resistant profile thanks to its carefully designed section. For this type of system it is necessary to drill undercut holes in the back face of the piece and insert KEIL type metal dowels and screws of the appropriate length. The screws expand the dowel and tighten the clamp against the panel.

The horizontal profile has a striped area which is used to make the connection with the vertical profile, by means of a 5.5×25 self-drilling screw and a striped security counterplate. At this junction point, the horizontal profile must be pre-drilled with a drill bit diameter greater than that of the screw, Ø10-12 mm. The striped counterplate locks the position of the profile in the vertical axis and at the same time allows its longitudinal movement due to thermal expansions without generating stresses on the screw.

COMPOSITION

These are the elements that give the system vertical continuity. They are manufactured by extrusion of aluminum alloy AW-6060/6063 with a black marine lacquer, resistant to aggressive environments. This type of lacquering is QUALICOAT SEASIDE class certified.

It can be combined with different vertical profiling systems depending on the weight of the cladding to be installed: Epsilon “O”, Epsilon “U”, when the material to be installed is very heavy, similar to a 3 cm stone; or with Epsilon T PLUS 65×50, Epsilon T100x45, when the cladding is a large format of reduced thickness (4-12 mm).

These are the elements that give the system horizontal continuity. They are manufactured by extrusion of aluminum alloy AW-6060/6063-T5 and are coated with a black “Qualicoat Seaside” quality lacquer. Due to their particular design, they have a high resistance moment. The horizontal profile is suitable for the installation of any kind of cuttings, both with continuous joint and with cutterhead.

The profile has 2 channels, one at the bottom and one at the top, specially designed to house the staples by means of a clipping system, which provides great agility when installing the system and greater fastening against horizontal loads.

The horizontal profiles are fastened to the vertical profiles by means of 5.5×25 self-drilling screws and striped safety washers, with a Ø8 – Ø12 mm hole previously drilled in the horizontal profile. This system allows the profile to expand freely, but at the same time prevents it from moving in the vertical direction.

The load-bearing angles to the slab are made of AW-6060/6063-T5 aluminum alloy and are anodized to 15 µm. They connect the vertical profiles to the supporting wall of the building, transmitting the stresses generated by the weight of the cladding itself and part of the wind action. Depending on the weight of the cladding, one vertical profile or another will be used, and therefore the load angles will also be different.

The position of the brackets is adjustable in the horizontal axis thanks to the smooth holes they have. In this way, the system is able to absorb possible irregularities in the structural elements of the building.

The load-bearing angles are manufactured with different outlets, up to 200 mm, in order to adapt to the different insulation thicknesses on the market today.

The support angles are made of AW-6060/6063-T5 aluminum alloy and are anodized to 15 µm. They connect the vertical profiles to the supporting wall of the building, transmitting the forces generated by the action of the wind. They are connected to the vertical profiles by means of 5.5×25 self-drilling screws. Their special design allows for expansion along the vertical axis. As with the load-bearing angles, depending on the weight of the cladding, one vertical profile or another will be used, and therefore the support angles will also be different.

Like the load-bearing angles, the support angles are manufactured with different outlets, up to 200 mm:

They are manufactured in aluminum alloy AW-6060/6063-T5 anodized to 25 microns. These clips have 2 channels for fastening to the horizontal profile; 1 upper channel with a tab (clip) to fit without the need for mechanical fastening and another lower channel. These 2 areas of support against the profile allow a great fastening against horizontal loads.

Two types of clamp are manufactured: leveling + locking clamp; and retaining clamp. The geometry of the clamps is the same, the only difference is that the upper horizontal face of the leveling + locking clamp has 2 threaded holes of 6 mm diameter in which 2 allen screws are inserted to regulate the final position of the clamp in height on the profile, ensuring a correct distribution of vertical loads and leveling of the panel. It also has another central hole of Ø6 mm to insert 1 self-drilling screw and lock the position of the clamp with respect to the horizontal profile, thus avoiding lateral movements of the panel. One clamp per panel must be locked.

The clamp is manufactured by default with a length of 60 mm, and can be modified according to project needs.
