The Epsilon U anchoring system is a very simple, economical and easy-to-install vertical profiling system.

Epsilon U system is an aluminium fastening and substructure system for attaching natural stone cladding on ventilated facades.

The Epsilon U vertical profile system is economic and easy to install. It has been scrupulously designed to resist all types of mechanical stresses and corrosion problems that can arise in construction work. As it is a profile system, it can be installed on solid, perforated or hollow supporting walls. The Epsilon system can be adjusted vertically and horizontally.

COMPOSITION

These elements provide the system with vertical continuity and are made of AW-6060/6063 T5 aluminium alloy with a black marine coat, resistant to aggressive agents. This type of coat has the certification QUALICOAT class SEASIDE.

Thanks to their special design, they provide excellent resistance. The profile has internal grooves on its three faces along their entire length used to reinforce the areas where the self-drilling screws are inserted to attach the angular load bearing anchors, angular support anchors and staples to attach the cladding.

The angular load bearing anchors are made of AW-6060/6063 T5 aluminium alloy. These anchors connect the vertical profile to the floor slabs of the building, transmitting the load generated by the cladding weight. They are attached to the profile using stainless steel 5.5 x 25 mm self-drilling screws and aluminium AW-6060/6063 security locking washers, which are attached to the profile lengthways guides.

The connection between the angular load bearing anchors and the profiles can be adjusted horizontally thanks to the oval holes in the profiles. This means the system can be adapted to any possible irregularities in the structural elements of the building.

These anchors are fabricated with different lengths with the aim of giving a solution for the different isolation thicknesses sold in the present market.

The angular support anchors are made of aluminium AW-6060/6063 T5 alloy. These anchors connect the vertical profile to the wall of the building distributing the stress generated by the wind forces on the cladding.

They are attached to the profile using stainless steel 5.5 x 25 mm self-drilling screws and aluminium AW-6060/6063 security locking washers, which are attached to the profile lengthways guides. Their special design allows their regulation along the two horizontal axes.

Like the load bearing anchors, the support anchors are fabricated with different lengths.

They are made entirely of AW-6060/6063 aluminum or 304 stainless steel. The clamp has a hole in the body and a smooth or oblong hole where it is fixed to the vertical profile by means of self-drilling screws that allow adjusting the position of the clamp in the vertical axis. In this type of clamp, it is necessary to drill the stones on two of their edges, making grooves where the anchor nails will be inserted.

Different types of staples are manufactured according to the installation needs.

BIM

You can download a .zip file with the BIM families for Revit of all of elements that are part of the system Epsilon “U”: deadload and windload brackets, vertical profile, Sigma staples, horizontal profiles Sigma and continuation sleeves. Families have been created specifying the screws required in each type included in the family with the aim of having the exact number of elements necessary in the project. Moreover, a repository with an example of the façade components is included.

These families have been created with Revit 2018, so they must be opened with the same version or later.
