Epsilon “T 100x45” is a cutting-edge, high-performance vertical profile system that is easy to install.

The Epsilon “T 100×45” system has been scrupulously designed to resist all types of mechanical stresses and corrosion problems that can arise in construction work. As it is a profiling system, it can be installed on solid, perforated or hollow supporting walls.

The system can be loaded immediately, and can be assembled regardless of the weather conditions.

COMPOSITION

Profiles Epsilon T 100x45 - Anchorage System

These profiles are made of extruded AW-6060/6063 T5 aluminium alloy with a black marine coat, resistant to aggressive agents. This type of coat has the certification QUALICOAT class SEASIDE. Thanks to their special design, they provide excellent mechanical resistance and resistance against corrosion.

They are fixed to the floor slabs with angular load bearing anchors. The connection between the vertical profile and the load bearing/support anchors is made with stainless steel self-drilling screws 5.5×25.

 L Profiles - Anchorage System

These profiles are also made of extruded AW-6060/6063 T5 aluminium alloy with a black marine coat, resistant to aggressive agents. This type of coat has the certification QUALICOAT class SEASIDE. Thanks to their special design, they provide excellent mechanical resistance and resistance against corrosion.

Vertical Profiles Epsilon “L 40×45” are installed on lateral ends (lateral corners) or installed as intermediate reinforcement profiles. They are fixed to the wall and to the fastenings in the same way that the “T” profile.

They are made of extruded aluminium AW-6060/6063 T5 alloy anodized 15 micron in natural matt silver.
These anchors attach the vertical profiles to the floor slabs of the building, distributing the load produced by the cladding. The angular load bearing anchors are attached to the floor slabs using A2 stainless steel M8 x 90 expansive anchors.

If the anchor cannot be attached to the floor slabs of the building, it is attached to the supporting wall. If it is made of semi-hollow brick or similar, the fixing kit used is TNUX 10×80, it consists of a stainless steel A2 bolt and a nylon plug. One angular load bearing anchor is used on each vertical profile. The load bearing anchors are attached to the profiles using two 5.5 x 25 mm self-drilling AISI-304 stainless steel screws. The connection between the angular load bearing anchors and the profiles can be adjusted horizontally thanks to the oval holes (18 mm). This means the system can be adapted to any possible irregularities in the structural elements of the building. The connection can be adjusted by a depth of 21.5 mm.

The following anchors are fabricated for the possible gap distances: (60+40)x80x3 mm; (80+40)x80x4 mm; (100+40)x80x4,5 mm; (120+40)x80x4,5 mm; (140+40)x80x5 mm; (160+40)x80x5; (180+45)x80x6/5 y (200+65)x80x8/6.

The anchors are installed at a certain distance from the angular load bearing floor slab anchors, and attached to the profiles using stainless steel self-drilling screws 5.5 x 25 mm. The angular support anchors are attached to the brickwork using the fixing kit TNUX 10×80, it consists of a stainless steel A2 bolt and a nylon plug.

Such as with the load bearing anchors, the position of the profiles can be adjusted horizontally in the support anchors thanks to the oval holes (18 mm). They can also be adjusted by a depth of 21.5 mm in the same way. In the vertical axe, the profile thermal expansions are allowed thanks to the vertical oval holes (15.5 mm).

The following anchors are fabricated for the possible gap distances: (60+40)x46x3 mm; (80+40)x46x4 mm; (100+40)x46x4,5 mm; (120+40)x46x4,5 mm; (140+40)x46x5 mm; (160+40)x46x5; (180+45)x46x6/5 y (200+65)x46x8/6.

The panel attachment system can be implemented by means of:

a) Alfa staples.

The staple Alfa is made of stainless steel AISI-304 in two sizes, double and simple, and are fixed to the vertical profile “T 100 45” with two stainless steel self-drilling screws 4,2×14. The staple has two visible clips that hold the cladding without the need of machining the panel. The cladding remains between the clips and the surface of the vertical profile. Between the panel and the aluminium profile, a spongy self-adhesive profile is installed to level and provide rear support for the cladding.

b) Rivets.

Fachadas del Norte S.L. does not manufacture the riveted sections, but can provide these parts on the client’s request. The rivet holds the cladding in place against the Epsilon “T” profile. The riveting process must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.

c) Bonding.

Fachadas del Norte S.L. does not manufacture adhesives, but we can provide this component on the client’s request.
Two elements are required in order to ensure correct bonding: double sided tape facing towards the inside of the profile, providing the support to the cladding, combined with a suitable adhesive depending on the element in question that ensures a solid bond. In this case any movement of the cladding will be fully absorbed by the layer of adhesive.
When using this system it is very important to complete the process according to the manufacturer’s instructions, taking factors into account such as the climate, which may significantly affect the chemical reaction of the adhesive.

BIM

You can download a .zip file with the BIM families for Revit of all of elements that are part of the system Epsilon T 100 45: deadload and windload brackets, vertical profiles and Alfa staples. Families have been created specifying the screws required in each type included in the family with the aim of having the exact number of elements necessary in the project. Moreover, a repository with an example of the façade components is included.

These families have been created with Revit 2018, so they must be opened with the same version or later.
