The system LEST is a subsystem that can be used in conjunction with the Epsilon O, Epsilon U or other special systems.

The horizontal LEST profile is made of EN AW 6060/6063 T5 aluminium alloy, and is very light and strong thanks to its tubular cross-section. It has a flat ribbed flap used to attach it to the vertical profile, using a self-drilling screw and locking washer, and has a specially designed groove to use the LEST fastenings with a clip system, making it very easy to install.

The horizontal profile is perfect for attaching stone sections of any shape, both for continuous and staggered joints. The horizontal profile system can be used with visible or hidden fasteners or pivots (21 mm or 32 mm projection).
The fixing screws for the system are made of stainless steel (AISI-304 ó AISI-316) according to the project requirements.

The LEST profiles have a black marine coat resistant to aggressive agents. This type of coat has the certification QUALICOAT class SEASIDE. The angular load bearing anchors, support anchors, locking washers and staples will be anodized 15 microns.

COMPOSITION

These elements provide the system with vertical continuity and are made of AW-6060/6063 T5 aluminium alloy with a black marine coat, resistant to aggressive agents. This type of coat has the certification QUALICOAT class SEASIDE.

Thanks to their special design, they provide excellent resistance. The profile has internal grooves along its entire length used to reinforce the areas where the self-drilling screws are inserted to attach the angular load bearing anchors, angular support anchors and staples to attach the cladding.

LEST horizontal profiles
These are the elements used to provide horizontal continuity to the system. They are made of AW-6060/6063 T5 aluminium alloy with a black marine coat, resistant to aggressive agents. This type of coat has the certification QUALICOAT class SEASIDE.

The vertical profiles to which they are attached (depending on the primary system used) are fitted in place with a maximum spacing between them set by the corresponding calculations. The LEST profile is then attached to the vertical profiles using self-drilling screws 5.5 x 25 mm and a security locking washers with a stripped face introduced on the LEST striped area.
In these attachment points, holes higher than the self-drilling screw diameter need to be made on the horizontal LEST profile, allowing the longitudinal displacements due to thermal expansion.

They are made of extruded aluminium AW-6060/6063 T5 alloy anodized 15 micron in natural matt silver. These anchors connect the vertical profile to the floor slabs of the building, transmitting the load generated by the cladding weight. They are attached to the profile using three stainless steel 5.5 x 25 mm self-drilling screws and aluminium AW-6060/6063 security locking washers, which are attached to the profile lengthways guides.

The connection between the angular load bearing anchors and the profiles can be adjusted horizontally thanks to the oval holes in the profiles. This means the system can be adapted to any possible irregularities in the structural elements of the building.

These anchors are fabricated with different lengths with the aim of giving a solution for the different isolation thicknesses sold in the present market.

The angular support anchors are made of extruded aluminium AW-6060/6063 T5 alloy anodized 15 micron in natural matt silver. These anchors connect the vertical profile to the wall of the building distributing the stress generated by the wind forces on the cladding.
They are attached to the profile using stainless steel 5.5 x 25 mm self-drilling screws and aluminium AW-6060/6063 security locking washers, which are attached to the profile lengthways guides. Their special design allows their regulation along the two horizontal axes.

Like the load bearing anchors, the support anchors are fabricated with different lengths.

Epsilon O - Angular support anchors - Strow Sistemas

They are made of extruded aluminium AW-6060/6063 T5 alloy anodized 15 micron in natural matt silver or AISI 304 stainless steel, depending on the staple. These staples have clips that are introduced inside the LEST profile without the need of a mechanical fixation. Depending on the staple used, it may be necessary to perforate the stones, making grooves or drilling the areas where the clips or pins will be introduced.

BIM

You can download a .zip file with the BIM families for Revit of all of elements that are part of the system LEST: deadload and windload brackets, vertical profile, horizontal profile, LEST staples and continuation sleeves. Families have been created specifying the screws required in each type included in the family with the aim of having the exact number of elements necessary in the project. Moreover, a repository with an example of the façade components is included.

These families have been created with Revit 2018, so they must be opened with the same version or later.
